It is so nice to have Dani, a lovely American girl from orientation, in my area. We live a ten minute walk from each other, and I met up with her this morning so we could tackle the shops together. We bought irons, clothing racks, pots, pans, and baskets together. We communicated, paid, caught the subway, and found our way together. I loved having the company.

I felt like the odd one out yesterday quite a bit in a sea of black hair, but Dani's blonde company made it easier to be a minority.

Everything is quite easy considering no one really speaks English beyond "hello".

We went into downtown to meet up with a few others and eat dinner. It was great fun. The streets were bustling, wifi was everywhere, and shops devoted to headbands, socks, phone cases, glasses, and many more things were open to browse through.

Dinner was the most delicious thing I've had in a long time. Korean food really is even better in actual Korea. I didn't think it was possible!

Snacks at the subway station.

Rachel loves her new french fries socks.
