Well, Osaka has been quite charming thus far. I love the old fashioned coffee shops with old men smoking at the bar, reading the paper and chatting with the owners. I love the diversity of people with various hair cuts, clothing styles, and manners. I love the contrast of the old and the new, seen in the buildings, light fixtures, and shopfronts.
Tonight Lucy and I took a walk through the main shopping area. It just went on for ages and ages. The lights, sounds, and crush of people were mesmerizing and we didn't actually have breath to talk to each other most of the time. If we did, it was just to say "Wow!" There was just so much happening.
