Today I was walking up the steps when my favourite little first grader jumped around the corner. He froze when he saw me and gave me the biggest grin.

I said, "Hi!" and he replied with a very confident, "Hello" before he continued leaping down the stairs. 

All of this was made even better by the fact that he has a great perm.
