How long has it been since you noticed your shadow?
It's with you a lot of the time, and it's a pretty magic phenomenon but we take it for granted that we have a friend following us around wherever we go.
Even just a few years ago shadows were a great source of fun amongst my friends. We would shadow-box one another whenever the sun was just right, sometimes accidentally real life punching too.
Those good memories flooded back as I stood at the lights watching a kid play around with his own shadow, kicking the ground and watching it respond. He was in a trance, lost in the wonder of his companion.
